Shayne Smith Grand Rapids Concert reviews
The great amphitheater itself! It was a beautiful night on the lawn to listen to Shayne Smith. We sat. The problem: the foul language between the songs used by John Rzeznik and Daughtry. My coworkers were surprised that the F word was used so much during what would have been a spectacular performance. Also, there were children under the age of 12 at this concert. Quite inappropriate whether it was set up or not when John Rzeznik talked on a fan's cell phone and said, "Buy a F ticket!" The language was mild when we saw Shayne Smith and Matchbox Twenty last August here. This time, it was too much, and arrogance is unacceptable behavior in front of your fans! We left early, as did many others. I will buy the CDs but probably not go to another concert unless they clean up their language between the songs.
